Tweat.it for Android is Has Arrived

Many of you have emailed us requesting Tweat.it for Android and we’ve listened. We also have a free iPhone app and have now leveled the playing field with a free Android app. You can find food trucks on the go no matter what your mobile affiliation is!

Rather than simply clone the iPhone app for your Android phone, we designed for Android from the ground up. Our app feels natural and takes advantage of everything the Android platform has to offer so there are a few new features that you don’t see on the iPhone!

When you launch the app you’ll see all the food trucks, their location and your own:

You can scroll through a list of the Twitter stream sorted by location tweets and all tweets:

Like in the iPhone app you can click on any food truck vendor’s icon and see their latest location-tweet:

A new view we added in the Android app is a vendor detail screen, which means - you can click on the vendor’s location tweet (above) and see a full screen of the vendor’s latest tweets (below).

On this screen you’ll notice our new features, street view and directions/navigation:

The street view allows you to see just that:

And the navigation features allows you to navigate to a food truck in any form (car, public transit, bicycle or walking) from your current location (or any address):

Food Truck Jobs: Sell Gelato!

Central Park Cart Selling Gelato: Serve gelato, make cappuccinos hot drinks cold drinks, pastry, ring people up, cashier duties, setting up the truck and cleaning the truck.

You Need:

  • Mobile Food Vendors License
  • At least two years of experience  working as a cashier/server on a food cart
  • Paid training will be provided before the cart opens. Training will take place at one of the company’s retail locations.
